This village property is a tale of two halves, one a bijou habitable home which just needs some refreshing, the other is an old stone cottage which needs both rescuing as well as renovating. The solution is obviously to live in one whilst tackling the other.

The main house can be accessed by other the front door which leads into the lounge or from the back garden area which takes you into the kitchen. This room has basic units and room for a table and chairs. The lounge is the largest room in the house with the focus being the fireplace and wood burning stove, the only form of heating. The property has some outbuildings in poor state of repair that will either need demolishing or a stone mason to sort out. Through an arch, connecting the old cottage to the habitable part, you enter a grassy farmyard round which are a series of hangers and stone buildings. A feature courtyard could be made here with a bit of imagination. The old cottage is at present two rooms and is in need of new roof.

The property is located five minutes drive from the market town of Sauzé Vaussais, where there is a good choice of shops, schools and places to eat out. Poitiers is under one hour away with all the shops, restaurants, cinemas etc. of a big city – including the airport and TGV links to the UK. ©
