This country house has been used as a holiday home by a Parisian family for many very happy years. Now retirement has brought them permanently into the area and so, reluctantly, they have decided to sell. Currently perfect as a summer holiday home, it would not take much to create a home for all year round living.

Entrance is into a hallway with the three double bedrooms (colour co-ordinated) and the family bathroom leading off it. Step round the beautiful stairway and into the large living room, with its open fireplace (which I am told, works well) and the corner kitchen. Double doors lead out onto the covered patio terrace with its view of the garden. This has been constructed with the possibility of closing it in with patio doors to give a wonderful all year round dining area. Upstairs is a large games room (for those odd wet weather days) and a large bedroom/bunk room for the youngsters. These are areas of possible conversion to further bedrooms.

Outside the house is surrounded on three sides by the garden, mainly down to grass and fruit trees, and the pool. This has a pool-house with easy access to the filtration system, a toilet, and storage area, and another place to sit when the pool terrace gets too hot!

Set in a hamlet it is a short drive to the village of Romagne with its excellent bar/restaurant and a few shops and facilities. For those visiting on holiday, it is also a short drive away from the "Valley of the Monkeys" an excellent attraction for visitors. The market towns of both Couhé and Civray are close by, and it is about 1 hr to the Department town of Poitiers and all that city culture; cinema, theatre, pavement cafés and restaurants. Also with TGV rail links and low cost airline served from its airport - UK is not so far away. ©
